This time this story is different, declare the occupiers: «this occupation is purely for housing purposes, not politics». Since December, five families and seven students live in the ex-Schipa.
All of them have furnished a room, and together they have restored the school’s basic services, adding furniture and kitchens. Every tuesday and thursday, the school hosts the “housing help desk”, set up by the Casa Bene Comune committee, taking queries from those who have no housing and monitoring currently unused public spaces in the city.
